Therapeutic Yoga and Wellness for Pregnancy
During this 9-week program, you will work closely with Find My Balance Director Michelle (RYT-200 and Certified Wellness Coach) to help you connect to your growing baby, ease the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, and mentally prepare for a calm and gentle birth.
One study of over 320 women found that practicing yoga once a day improved birth weight, decreased the risk of preterm labor, and decreased intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) and pregnancy-induced hypertension associated with IUGR. Yoga reduces anxiety, increases flexibility, and prepares the body for labor.
Each prenatal yoga session is 1.5 hours. In addition to tea and a snack, each prenatal yoga class will focus on a particular theme and chakra (yogic energy center) and will include a warm-up, inner work or a creative activity, yoga postures, and a relaxing meditation.
The class fee includes a workbook, and all students will receive Michelle's newly-published A Nursing Love Poem children's board book as a free gift to enjoy with their little ones. To inquire about availability of group or 1:1 classes, please submit an interest form.
